Assisted Living

We provide care and assisted living services for any elderly who want to be independent but need some assistance with their activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, transportation and assistance to follow their medication regimen.

Dementia Care at an Epoch Home

Epoch Elder Care is India’s expert in Dementia care. We provide a specialised dementia care program for elders suffering from dementia of any type and across all stages. Our care has a holistic approach and focuses on the management of the emotional, social and physical wellbeing of the person. We believe in managing symptoms largely through non-pharmacological approaches especially when it comes to challenging behaviours. Our homes, house about 12-14 residents each and are furnished and designed in a manner that brings about a home like approach versus an institutional one. Epoch offers clinical care in a home like environment.

Highlights of our dementia care program are:

• All staff (care and non care) trained in dementia management and strategies. With our collaboration with Swedish Care International (SCI), we offer international standards of training to our Facility Managers and Nurses in order to maintain the highest levels of care and operations.

• Personalised dementia care plan for each resident depending on individual histories, dementia stage, preferences, current skill sets and care needs

• Dementia engagement plan and structured activities

• Managing challenging behaviours like agitation, aggression, non compliance to care etc using non pharmacological approaches

• Focus on managing emotional well being and mood

• Working with each family to help and elder transition from their home to an Epoch home

• Stage management

Dementia Care - Tele counseling

Epoch also provides dementia care tele-counseling services with an Epoch dementia expert for families who are struggling with managing a loved one with dementia and would like to understand the basics of dementia management and a going forward care strategy. The session would include a call (for more than an hour) with our dementia experts with 8-15 years of on-ground experience of looking after persons with dementia and will also include a follow-up call and a detailed assessment report.

Recovery & Rehabilitation Care

It is not a nursing home or hospice. It provides care and assisted living services for any elderly who want to be independent but need some assistance with their activities of daily living. At Epoch, we follow holistic, person-centered care in a home-like environment, focusing on the person as well as the clinical condition. Epoch Elder Care provides a solid relief management system for post-operative care, rehabilitation, and respite care in a home-like environment. 

Our team comprises skilled, experienced, and registered nurses, who regularly undergo relevant training. Our nurses are experienced in managing elders in need of recovery & rehabilitation care and skilled nursing care across various types of ailments. Our nursing team is present 24x7 at Epoch Homes and hence are constantly available to take care of any emergencies or special nursing needs that can arise during the day or night.

Palliative Care

The goal of palliative care is to improve the quality of life by focusing on relief from the symptoms, pain, physical stress, and mental stress at any stage of the illness. We provide end of life care for all our residents in our homes, keeping in mind individual wishes and preferences and support for family members.

We understand that moving out of own’s home can be a difficult choice, so at Epoch we make each of our homes as homely as possible in all aspects such as the design of living and dining areas and of each room, thoughtfully picked furnitures, decor items, lighting and colours of common areas and rooms. Epoch homes are usually 8 - 14 room setup equipped with in-house kitchen, living, dining and activity areas and are situated in residential areas with close proximity to multi-speciality hospitals.
